College

Arul Anandar College (AAC), Madurai was established in 1970. Arul Anandar College is an autonomous 

minority Catholic institution, affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University and accredited by NAAC, is one of the 

constituent colleges of the Jesuit Madurai province of the Society of Jesus. The objective of the college is to 

provide facilities for academic excellence, training in soft and professional skills and integral development of 

rural students and empowering them for social transformation. The aim of the college is to enable students 

to become agents of social transformation by imparting skills in research and to build AAC into a policy 

advocacy centre.

Degree

The Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) is conferred in history, economics, and philosophy, and there is a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in mathematics, physics, chemistry, rural development science, food science & technology, computer science, information technology & management, and physical education. 

Also there are the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Commerce( BCom). Post graduate degrees conferred are Master of Arts (MA) in economics and philosophy, the Master of Science (MSc) in mathematics, physics, and dairy science and rural management, and the Masters in computer application.

 There are also research degrees offered, the MPhil in economics and the PhD in economics, physics, and rural development science.
